The American Heritage Museum, located in Hudson, MA, is dedicated to military history. Exhibits examine conflicts from the Revolutionary War through 9/11 and the “War on Terror.” A good portion of the museum is focused on the sizable Littlefield collection, which includes many rare items from the U.S. and other countries. Among other artifacts, visitors to the museum will encounter aircraft, tanks, guns, and automobiles, some dating from the beginning of the 20th century.

The Lynn Museum & Historical Society, housed in the former Heritage State Park Visitor Center in Lynn, MA, has been the repository and custodian of Lynn's history since 1897. The Museum chronicles Lynn's rise from early American settlement to industrial powerhouse. Its collection boasts nearly 10,000 objects and includes fine art, photography, furniture, textiles, ephemera, archival materials and other artifacts, which it displays in special, theme-based exhibitions. The museum is closed for part of the year.

Your Library pass can only be used on the date printed on the pass.

When you arrive at the Museum, stop at the Box Office to exchange your library pass and purchase your Exhibit Halls tickets at the discounted rate. The Peabody Essex Museum grew out of the collection of East India Marine Society, an organization of Salem captains whose charter called for acquisition of “natural and artificial curiosities.” Its permanent collection contains art and artifacts of Africa, Asia, India, China (with a Qing Dynasty house brought from the Huizhou region), Japan, Korea, Pacific Islands, and features objects of maritime art and history that include paintings, drawings, ship models, marine decorative arts, tools, weapons, navigational instruments, and ship and yacht plans. It also has a thriving changing exhibition schedule that sometimes includes important traveling shows.
